英國捕鼠官的政績出爐，住在首相官邸的「第一貓」賴瑞（Larry）雖然身材圓滾滾，但捕鼠成績大幅落後給體格勻稱的外交部黑白貓巴默斯頓（Palmerston），先前賴瑞還被拍到「縱鼠歸巢」的「失職」情形，顯然已喪失「殺手本能」。
英國前首相卡麥隆（David Cameron）為解決唐寧街「鼠患」，於2011年飼養虎斑貓賴瑞，賴瑞並於該年2月15日就任「捕鼠官」，除了解決鼠患外，賴瑞的職責也包括迎賓、安檢，以及測試古董家具用來睡眠的質量。在卡麥隆去職後，賴瑞便換了新主人梅伊（Theresa May），繼續用牠肥嘟嘟的身材執行任務。
不過現年10歲的賴瑞，雖貴為內閣辦公室首席捕鼠官，卻似乎喪失「殺手本能」，不太會抓老鼠，先前還曾被拍到「縱鼠歸巢」的狀況。首相官邸的鏟屎官說，賴瑞最喜歡在上班時打盹，在唐寧街10號外晃來晃去，翻滾露出白肚皮賣萌，有時老輩從牠鼻子前面爬過時，牠也不理不睬。
而和懶散的賴瑞比起來，身材勻稱許多的外交部捕鼠官巴默斯頓，則顯得克盡職守，根據官方數據，巴默斯頓自從2016年4月被認養後，至少抓獲了27隻老鼠，但牠的鏟屎官認為，這個數字應該被低估了，因為他們沒有確切紀錄巴默斯頓的每一個戰利品。
目前西敏寺共有5隻捕鼠官，除了賴瑞、巴默斯頓外，還有財政部的黑貓格萊斯頓（Gladstone），以及內閣辦公室的母子檔艾維（Evie）和奧希（Ossie）。
